About Alan

I am a 21 year old web designer/developer from Surrey. Its fair to say I had a somewhat misspent youth but with a guiding hand I started working for an online advertising agency that was being setup by a friend of mine (the hand that guided!). After a 3 year stint helping him build a nice little empire I thought I would quite like to try my hand in the big city, so I packed up a kit bag and off I went, only to find city life wasn't really for a pseudo-gangster-kid from the sticks. So tail in hand i returned to the dull glow and slow lanes of the home counties

Having always had a serious interest in all things code/programming related and a vague eye for design I figured web development would be the next logical step, so I began. A further 3 years later and here I am, having designed & built web sites for many companies of all shapes and strangeniss (some examples of which you can see strewn across the site) I find myself building this one, In a vain attempt to get you to hire me.

What i do

My main service is web development and design, but why stop there? I was trained in online marketing including SEO and other SEM avenues (ohh get me!) and am able to offer a complete online solution for you or your company.

Web Development I am proficient at PHP, MySQL, CSS, XHTML, Javascipt and rather strangely Perl and able to write code for both front and back ends. I have built a framework come CMS called encore that I base most of systems on, that utilizes the latest in web technologies and is available as an open source framework for others. I have advanced knowledge of photoshop and some flair so can also design quite well too!

Online Marketing I worked in online marketing for 3 years mainly within Google Adwords PPC Campaigns also worked on Search Engine Optimization for some clients. One of the main aspects of my role was designing online marketing strategies for companies and helping them execute them to make sure they got the best ROI they could. So I guess I could do that for you too!

Training Not really an official service of mine, but having been a manager and trainer I guess I could teach you how it all works too. Jokes aside, if you would like to hire me for training please get in touch.

I couldn't fit all my work up top, so I have hidden some down here as well, and although these have been relegated to the basement I don't want you to think I'm not proud of them, its just, well something had to give. (although to be honest, some are not my finest work so be gentle!)
